Julie Chénot  
Julie Chenot Originally from France, Julie moved to Beijing, China in 1994. Initially, she joined the cultural section of the French Embassy where she developed Sino-French cultural exchanges in the performing and fine arts. After this first experience in China, she moved on to the private sector organizing and managing major international music events in Beijing such as the China International Jazz Festival, and the Heineken Beat Music Festival. Julie has over ten years experience in arts management at the international level in Asia and was selected by UNESCO as Consultant to the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia to work on the development of the performing art in Cambodia. She received an MBA from ESSEC Business School in France.

Garry Clarke  
Garry Clarke Garry is the Executive Director of the 18th Century Concert Orchestra in the UK. He has been a professional violinist for over seventeen years touring Europe, the US, Hong Kong, Japan, India and South America, performing with world class musicians and ensembles. Garry helped form the Midland Baroque ensemble playing principal violin for nearly ten years and also founded Mostylea Music Management and the ensemble Platform 4. In addition to performing, Garry was Head of Strings at the Dragon Preparatory School in Oxford and Stonyhurst College in Lancashire where he managed a department of professional string players and teachers. He served as director of the Stone Festival/Music in the Garden and for the last eight years has worked with the English Haydn Orchestra and its artistic advisor HC Robbins Landon. Garry's last visit to the Kennedy Center was in 1994 performing with Christopher Hogwood as a member of The Academy of Ancient Music. Garry received post-graduate training at the Royal College of Music, a Masters in Arts Management at City University in London and is a specialist cheesemaker.

Kim Cook  

Kim Cook comes to the Kennedy Center with a background in both artistic creation and artist business development. Kim is the founder of TopLine – an organization that produces new work and provides strategic management resources to artists. Prior to TopLine, Kim was the Executive/Artistic Director of Theater Artaud where she produced, presented, commissioned, and developed over 120 performing arts projects in a broad range of artistic disciplines. Previously, as Executive Director of the Oakland Youth Chorus, she designed a music education program for the public schools that became the leading project of the Kids First Initiative in Oakland. Before her work in the performing arts Kim had a successful career in sales and marketing. As a life-long dancer, singer, and actor, Kim completed a B.A. in Performing Arts, followed by an M.A. in Arts & Consciousness. The B.A. gave Kim solid training in multiple performance disciplines while the M.A. degree provided her with experience in community arts practice and the use of creative process in organizational structures. Cook continues building her skills with courses in electronic media, finance, global economics, and strategic management. She is extending her work internationally with projects in Japan, Mexico, and Europe over the last three years. Her artistic projects and/or clients include: Rennie Harris, Marc Bamuthi Joseph, Destiny Arts Center, SF Hip Hop DanceFest, Suhaila Productions, Hip Hop Legacy website, and Shailja Patel.

Claudia Gonzalez  
Claudia Gonzalez Claudia joins the Kennedy Center from the classical music hall, Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico where she is the Vice Manager for Programming and Special Projects and is responsible for the administration as well as the organization of performances of international groups such as dance companies, orchestras and different classical expression artists in the main theater. Previously Claudia worked with the Houston International Film Festival handling and coordinating the competition entries, juries, theaters, film previews, film & gala openings, and also as the link with film distribution companies for the Film Society structure, and Televisión Azteca handling the general aspects of the cultural program arranging interviews with a varied type of artists such as painters, poets, writers, and film directors for broadcasts. Claudia attended the University of Houston, Universidad Iberoamericana, and is a graduate of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Kyle Gorden  
Kyle Gorden Kyle was most recently Assistant Director of the University of Chicago Alumni Association, as well as Founder and Chair of the Hyde Park – University of Chicago Arts Fest, a multidisciplinary annual event encompassing over 30 area arts institutions. He previously served in a variety of administrative roles at Chicago's Court Theatre and Theater on the Lake, and as Web site designer for the Chicago Chamber Choir. He was dramaturg for the Silk Road Theatre Project's production of Tea , and in June of 2004 Chicago's Japanese Consulate hosted a staged reading of The Gempei War , his adaptation of a cycle of Noh plays for the modern stage. He holds a degree in East Asian Languages and Civilizations with Special Honors from the University of Chicago, and attended Stanford University's Kyoto Center for Japanese Studies, where he focused on Noh theater and received an independent study grant from the Japan Foundation.

Matthew Morgan  
Matthew Morgan Prior to coming to the Kennedy Center, Matthew Morgan was the House Manager of Aaron Davis Hall, Harlem's principal center for the performing arts. With a background in performing arts and non-profit management, Matthew was the Manager of Human Resources, as well as Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator for Dance Theatre of Harlem where he helped market the company's 30 th Anniversary New York season. He also served as the Manager of Operations for Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund, where he administered merit-based scholarships to gifted students at historically Black public colleges and universities throughout the United States. A former elementary school teacher, Matthew graduated from Clark Atlanta University with honors and a degree in Education.

Jeannie Park

Jeannie Park Jeannie is the director and co-founder of Wahyuning Kuswala, a performing arts production company dedicated to ensuring the continued development of Javanese traditional performing court arts. She has co-directed and organized collaborations that have toured internationally. Originally from California, Jeannie has been living in Yogyakarta, Indonesia since 1996 and is the first non-Javanese to be accepted at the court as a dancer. In addition to working with a number of Indonesian arts organizations, she has been a consultant for the Kelola Foundation where she was also the Administration Manager responsible for the International Residency Program that provided professional development opportunities for Indonesian arts managers. Jeannie also consulted for the Asian Civilizations Museum's Exhibition Documentation Project. Previously, she was the Director of Kohn Turner Gallery in Los Angeles. Jeannie received a Bachelor of Arts in World Arts and Cultures with an emphasis on Art History from the University of California at Los Angeles and studied traditional Indonesian dance at California Institute of Arts, Indonesia Institute of Arts, Sasminta Mardawa School of Dance and the Yogyakarta Palace.

Christopher Shainin  
Christopher Shainin Christopher is the manager of chamber music ensembles in Seattle including Sorelle, and the Contemporary Chamber Composers and Players. He co-founded and manages the Seattle Creative Orchestra which is dedicated to the performance of contemporary music and includes instruments from China, Japan, India, Thailand, and Indonesia. He also serves as Director and President of Washington Composers Forum, and is a composer for ForeignAmerican Pictures. Christopher served as conductor of the Seattle Mandolin Orchestra and the Frohsinn Mannerchor, and taught music theory and music appreciation at the University of Washington. He received a Master of Music, Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition, and a certificate degree in Arts Management from the University of Washington.

Caroline Sharpen  
Caroline Sharpen Caroline comes to the Kennedy Center from Musica Viva Australia - Australia's oldest independent performing arts organization. She currently serves as the Business Development Manager, and previous roles include Fundraising Program Manager and Marketing & Development Coordinator for Musica Viva. For the past two years Caroline has managed international touring programs for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australia Council for the Arts as well as overseeing the development of several new company programs. She received a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honors followed by a Graduate Diploma of Music Performance (Piano) with Distinction from the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music, University of Tasmania. She has undertaken further study at the Australian Institute of Management.

Linda Yip  
Linda Yip Linda comes to the Kennedy Center f rom the Hong Kong Arts Festival where she is an arts programmer. She represented the Festival in the international conference of Nanning International Arts Festival of Folk Songs and was a festival program coordinator for the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London where she helped organize the Hong Kong Festival in London. Previously, Linda worked with the Hong Kong Arts Development Council Information Center and was a freelance music director for Television Broadcasts Limited. She also worked in the Marketing Department of Tom Lee Music Company where she was responsible for promoting music education programs. Linda is a graduate of the Hong Kong Baptist University with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Music Composition.
