Small, interactive ensemble performances to acquaint young children ages 4 and up with the orchestra and its instruments.

Designed for children 9 and up, these concerts use multimedia performances that demonstrate the connections between music and other academic disciplines.
- Instrument "Petting Zoos"
Children (and their parents) have the chance to get up close and personal with the orchestral instruments they will see professionally played on stage.

Pick your favorites during the free division final concerts, and then watch the winners of the NSO's Young Soloists' Competition perform as a soloists in a free concert with the National Symphony Orchestra.

Each year talented high school students from area youth orchestras perform a free concert side by side with members of the National Symphony Orchestra.
- Summer Music Institute Concert
After four weeks of private lessons, rehearsals, and coaching by National Symphony Orchestra members, students of the Summer Music Institute present a free concert to showcase what they've learned.
