William A. Newman
Artist and professor, Corcoran College of Art + Design
William Newman's career spans four decades. In addition to numerous solo exhibitions, and a recent retrospective at the Corcoran Gallery, he is the co-founder of the Corcoran's renowned Digital Arts department. He paints in oils and has taught masters' secret techniques and formulas, digital arts for fine art and photography, and painting to generations of Corcoran students for 36 years. He continues to teach and his goal is for communities to provide means and opportunities to become an artist for those with disabilities.
Director of Career Development, Center for Emerging Visual Artists
Amie Potsic received her MFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and is currently the Director of the Career Development Program at the Center for Emerging Artists (CFEVA) in Philadelphia. Prior to her studies at the Art Institute, Potsic earned degrees in Photojournalism and English Literature from Indiana University. She has held faculty appointments at the University of California at Berkeley, Ohlone College, and the San Francisco Art Institute. She has recently been a guest lecturer at the International Center of Photography, the University of the Arts, and Ursinus College.
Registrar, American Visionary Art Museum
Sarah Templin is a fashion/textile designer, screen-printer, and founder of Radica, a textile design label and freelance textile consultancy. Templin is a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina and has studied textile design in India. Her experience includes lectures, courses, and workshops at the Baltimore Museum of Art, Kala Raksha School (Bhuj, India), American Craft Council, Baltimore Creative Alliance, and Maryland Public Radio. For the past ten years, Templin has been the Registrar at the American Visionary Art Museum, which is the national museum for outsider art and a place where she finds a constant source of inspiration.
