Next Stage for Opening Stages

Opening Stages is at a crossroads. We are in transition on the editorial side with Paul Kahn's passing. But even before that untimely change, we began to think about ways to strengthen the content and update the delivery of the newsletter.  The email format with links to the archive seems, perhaps, a bit outdated. But what would be better?

We need your input!  We would like to allow for more participation so, while an editor and writers will still create the content readers value, we are looking for an approach that allows you – our readers – to post dates and information about auditions, performances or conferences, as well as links to other relevant organizations or publications.

A blog version could connect email with the archive, and allow visitor posts, comments and discussions. A wiki style could include more options for content posted by visitors. We have also discussed Facebook and have already migrated the kind of information normally found in our popular “News and Notes” section to the Opening Stages Facebook page.  Please become a fan of Opening Stages in order to get announcements about job openings, auditions, competitions, grants and awards, internship opportunities, workshops and other career-focused information.

We would appreciate your ideas and invite you to complete a very short questionnaire. Visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LKBMTXD. THANK YOU!!!
